Hitting the Street for DISH Network

Well, I'll be pounding the pavement today putting out some DISH Network fliers. I think the new promotion offers a pretty awesome deal. They are offering a six month introductory price of $9.99 per month for over 100 channels. And over 50 HD channels are free! HBO is free for 3 months and you pay only 1 penny for 5 Cinemax channels if you sign up for autopay.

What do you think of low introductory pricing? I used to think it was better to just offer one price that doesn't change. I guess I'm a boring girl... I like consistency! But I guess our relationship with our tv companies has become like dating... you gotta put your best foot forward with the wine and roses to get the girl's attention.

Seriously, I think this is a great deal. You get to save a huge amount of money for six months and then, yes, the price does go up, but it is still very reasonable and the service is great! For full details, check out the DISH Network promos.

Introductions

Good Monday morning to everyone! This is the maiden post for the Goodnight Satellite blog. I'd like to introduce our company and the family behind the company. My name is Danielle Goodnight and I own Goodnight Satellite with my husband, Steve Goodnight. He is the left brain... he manages all of the technical things for the company. If you want to know how something works or how to fix things, he's your guy. I am the right brain... I manage all of the creative things, like the sales and marketing (the fun stuff in my opinion!) I'll be writing this blog, but I'll pull Steve in from time to time to talk about some techie stuff.

I'd like to chat about a variety of things around here. This will be our informal source of communication to chat with our customers about our products: DISH Network, WildBlue internet, MotoSat and other exciting communications products we'll be unveiling. We'll make company announcements, share information, answer questions and hopefully also talk about some fun things, as well.

So, what does our company do, exactly? Well, we started as a satellite communications company, selling DISH Network television, WildBlue high speed internet and MotoSat products for RVs and mobile offices. We will continue to offer those same great products and services, but we have some new things brewing. Our newest venture will be hosted voice solutions for homes and businesses. On the residential side, we will be offering ViaTalk voice over ip. What is voice over IP or VOIP? Well, simply it is internet based phone service. It is less expensive and simplifies your communications services by using your existing high speed internet connection. On the business side, we will be offering the SpeakEasy suite of services, which includes dsl, T1 and VOIP for small to medium sized businesses.

A little more about us, personally... Steve is an electrical engineer and is from Nebraska. You'll see him coming with his Husker "N" on his front license plate. I was born in Clovis, New Mexico and then wandered around the world as I grew up in a military family. I studied economics at Rutgers University in New Jersey. Steve and I were married and started our family in Nebraska. My parents and one of my siblings settled in Albuquerque, so after several years of visiting, the Land of Enchantment lured us to become full time residents. We love the natural beauty and culture of the state and decided that this is the perfect place to raise our four active little boys. We came out here with the intention of starting a business. I previously did marketing consulting and owned a maternity shop, so we combined my business background with Steve's engineering background and voila, Goodnight Satellite was born! (Well, there was a little more to it, but you get the gist!) So, that is a little about us! I'm looking forward to getting to know you, our customers, as well!
